Well hello friends. I went and created a blog. I haven’t had a blog since maybe 2007. It’s hard to remember now but it was before I was a heavy Instagram user that’s for sure so it feels like it was a century ago with the way technology changes exponentially now. Over the past year or so I started posting on my Instagram stories my weekend cooking adventures. I’ve had a lot of fun and many of my friends have commented they enjoy my amateur cooking show on the weekends. I haven’t had a permanent place to put these adventures. They go into my stories and then disappear after 24 hrs. So on a whim I searched some website names and brainstormed with my friend Kate and next thing you know I’m buying a domain name! Forgive me as I figure out yet again all the tricks to the blogging world. Things have changed since I was a blogger pro. I am sure for a while this will feel like a fun experiment where I change things up as I try new formats and you feel the whiplash etc… Thanks for your patience in advance.
I am no cooking pro, unless you want to count my pro status at watching Food Network shows almost exclusively. Well that’s not totally true, in between I binge on Escape to the Country and HGTV. All you will find here is enthusiasm and amateur fun cooking. I work a normal job, and the hours are long, so my cooking is usually relegated to weekends. I like to try to conquer hard recipes and new things just as much as I love easy one pot recipes that will make me some great dinners and lunches for the week. I believe cooking is an important creative outlet and a satisfying way to control what you are putting in your body. Not to mention eating at home is definitely more affordable. Once you learn the basics you can mix it up and make pretty much anything and I love that. So come on and join me. I hope you will be inspired to get in your kitchen and try something new.
